Etymology
Borrowed from Classical Persian زَمَانَه (zamāna), from Middle Persian ẕmʾnk' (zamānag). Equivalent to زَمان (zamān) + ـہ (-h). First attested in c. 1609 as Middle Hindi زمانہ (zmanh).[1]
