Benjamin Lock (born 4 March 1993) is a Zimbabwean tennis player. He is a member of the Zimbabwe Davis Cup team,[1] where he has a win–loss record of 30–12.
Lock has a career high ATP singles ranking of world No. 314 achieved on 17 July 2023. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of world No. 175 achieved on 5 November 2018.
Lock has won 10 ITF singles titles and 35 ITF doubles titles.[2]
Career
[edit]In November 2014, Lock won his first doubles title on the ITF Men's Circuit, playing alongside Jean-Yves Aubone in Niceville, Florida. In June 2015, Lock won his first singles title on the ITF Men's Circuit in Mozambique.
In February 2020, Lock won his first Challenger doubles title in Launceston, Australia playing alongside Evan King.
Lock reached his first Challenger singles finals in June 2023 at the Medellín Open, losing to Patrick Kypson in the final.
In September 2023, Lock made his ATP Tour debut as a qualifier at the 2023 Chengdu Open, losing to seventh seed Miomir Kecmanović in the first round.
