DLF Cyber City is a commercial area in Gurugram, Haryana, India, which was opened in 2003. The area is home to several top IT and Fortune 500 company offices.[1] The area has been termed a "futuristic commercial hub"[2] and is considered one of the largest hubs of IT activity in Delhi NCR. Cyber City lies near Udyog Vihar, which is a conventional industrial area on the opposite side of NH-48.
Cyber Hub is a large shopping and eating area with a number of leading restaurants and shops, which caters primarily to the people working in DLF Cyber City.
Transport
In 2013, Rapid Metro was introduced to Cyber City, connecting it with Delhi Metro.[1] Six operational stations are within the Cyber City. The National Highway 48 (NH-48) runs through Cyber City and a project to construct a 16-lane expressway is also in progress.[3] A flyover between Cyber City and MG Road was opened in 2015 to reduce traffic congestion.[4] The Indira Gandhi International Airport is located close to the Cyber City. Delhi Metro's Phase 4 includes the extension of the Yellow Line from its current Southern terminus at Huda City Centre (now known as Millennium City Centre) further south of Cyber City. This will ensure another option for people staying in the heart of Delhi at Rajiv Chowk to directly access this district ensuring better connectivity to the suburban business centres from Central Delhi.
Entertainment
Cyber hub is situated in the cyber city and consists of various clothing brands like Decathlon, Marks and Spencer, Nike, Skechers, The Body Shop, Chumbak, UNIQLO and a large bookshop called "The crossword". Not only clothing and stationery but the cyber hub complex also consists of a KIA MOTORS dealership. It is a hub for food lovers, and it contains food outlets such as Dominos, The Big Chill, Nando's, Haldirams, Yeti, Farzi Cafe, The Wine Co, Yum Yum Cha, Tablespoon, etc.[5]
Gateway Tower
The Gateway Tower is a high-rise building at the entrance of the Cyber City that houses the headquarters of DLF (company).
Being a LEED Platinum Certified building, it is called so as it acts as a gateway to the 3000-acre landmark city of DLF. This 12-story complex is spread across an area of 0.11 mn sq. ft. With its ship-like shape, Gateway Tower presents futuristic architecture, which is also reflected in its interiors.[6]
The unique feature of this complex is its high visibility levels and compact office space.[6]
Cyber Greens
Cyber Greens, a LEED Platinum Certified building, is spread across an area of 0.91 mn sq. ft. The complex constitutes five blocks each, scaling to 11-19 stories. Located just off National Highway-8 at the entrance of Gurugram, it is well connected to domestic and international airports, rapid metro, 16-lane Raghavendra Marg and walkways.[7]
Cyber Greens is the first project in which DLF pioneered the concept of an amenities block and provision for breakout areas.[7]
Cyber-Hub
Cyber Hub is a massive courtyard within Cyber City and is considered as a hub of food and beverages in Gurugram. The DLF Cyber Hub, which was opened in 2013, has an area of about 400,000 square feet (37,000 m2), with cafes, restaurants, pubs, a standup comedy venue, The people & co., and a Broadway style theatre.
