Hiroshi Suzuki is a Japanese diplomat who is currently the ambassador to the United kingdom.
Education
Suzuki was born in Kyoto and grew up in Uji city.[1] He graduated with a B.A. in law from the University of Tokyo in 1985 and later earned an M.A. from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, Massachusetts, in 1988.[1]
Career
In April 1985 he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, starting his career as a diplomat.[1]
In September 2022 he became the ambassador to India and Bhutan.[2]
In late 2024 he ended his tenure as ambassador to India[3], and was appointed ambassador to the United kingdom , arriving in August 2024. In December 2024 he congratulated the United kingdom when it joined the CPTPP, hoping for better trade deals between the UK and japan[1].
