Charlotte is named after Queen Charlotte. King George III married her as Lady Charlotte of Mecklenburg,Germany. VA had Marysville, Lunenburg County, Virginia and Marystown, in Albemarle County. Once Lady Charlotte was Queen, Mecklenburg County and Charlotte County reduced Lunenburg County. Marysville became Charlotte Court and Marystown became Charlottesville. There are 7 US states that. have a city named Charlotte. The sister of King William III was Princess Caroline. It was a British Colony. It became North Carolina and South Carolina
Maryland is Named after Queen Mary. Her children were Prince George, Prince William,the Counted Princess Carole, Prince Edward and Princess Anne. VA has counties named after the 3 sons. MD has Anna Arundel county bed for Princess Anne after Lord Arundel married her.
