Each volume has an index to the illustrations of buildings and views of the county, and an index to the biographies. Showing a drawing of the coffin of a daughter of King Knut, who by local tradition was thought to have drowned in a local stream. This coffin was discovered in Bosham Church, on 4 August 1865, but there is no evidence of a connection with Knut or his daughter. |
