Krishnarai Jiu Temple, Bagri is a historic Hindu temple in Bagri near Garhbeta in Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal.[1] It is a radha-krishna temple and very popular in paschim medinipur district of West Bengal. This temple is located right on the left of the Shilabati river bank. Rajyadhar Rai, minister of the first Bagri king Gajapati Singha, is said to be built this temple.The idol of Lord Krishna-Rai is made of black basalt stone.[2] This temple holds great spiritual and traditional value for locals.
Rathyatra and Rashyatra are two most famous festival which is celebrated here. Radhakrishna jugal Murti(couple statue) is worshipped according to Hindu Religion's Vishnu and Garuda Puran.
This is the only one Krishna temple in the world where Lord Krishna stays 6 months in his MashiBari( maternal aunt's house). There are 3 temples. Radhakrishna's own temple in Krishnanagar. Rath Mandir(Mashi bari) in Mayta and Dolmandir in Raghunath bati.
