Sir Patrick Wahanga Hohepa KNZM (1936 – 22 September 2023) was a New Zealand Māori language academic. In the 2022 Queen's Birthday and Platinum Jubilee Honours, he was appointed a Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to Māori culture and education.[1]
Hohepa was born in 1936,[2] and died at his home in Waimā on 22 September 2023, at the age of 87.[3][4]
