Sizhong River(Traditional Chinese:四重溪), is located in the southern part of Taiwan's[1] Hengchun Peninsula[2] and is classified as a river under central management.[3]
Description
[edit]The main stream's upper reaches are known as Mudan River,[4] which originates in the mountainous area west of Dongyuan Wetland[5] in Dongyuan Village,[6] Mudan Township,[7] Pingtung County.[8] The main stream has a length of 31.91 kilometers[9] and a drainage area of 124.88 square kilometers.[10] It flows through Mudan Township[11] and Checheng Township[12] in Pingtung County, with major tributaries including Liren River,[13] Zhushi River,[14] and Damei River,[15] before finally emptying into the Taiwan Strait[16] near Checheng Bridge.[17]
