Unspecified source for Image:AC-DC Fly On The Wall.JPG
[edit]I found Image:AC-DC Fly On The Wall.JPG and noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Someone will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If it was obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If there are other files on this page, consider checking that they have specified their source and are tagged properly, too. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:33, 25 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fair use rationale for Image:AC-DC Fly On The Wall.JPG
[edit]Image:AC-DC Fly On The Wall.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 04:33, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Fly On The Wall.jpg
[edit]The image Image:Fly On The Wall.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --07:50, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Digital download
[edit]The section were it says that it was released for digital download on iTunes is completely false unless released with the album. The song has not been available by itself for download on the date designated. Unless referenced I will or someone else will remove that sentence. -- Arlonuelle (talk) 22:50, 19 January 2009 (UTC).
- Done If it is a single, it cannot say the release date of the album. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 18:18, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Jack and the Beanstalk
[edit]Please stop saying that this song is going to be used in a Disney movie, Jack and the Beanstalk. It's not true and it is not funny because it is not ok to make fun of her. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.121.57.101 (talk) 00:48, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- Done That is irrelevant to the song even if it was true. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 18:19, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Requested move
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was Done. — Aitias // discussion 23:59, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Fly on the Wall (Miley Cyrus song) → Fly on the Wall (song) — The latter article is already linked to the former article, so the term "Miley Cyrus song" can be renamed simply to "song". I did a Wikipedia search and there are no other song with the title Fly on the Wall. Please inform me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance! :) kotakkasut 07:41, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Support move. There are a couple of songs listed at Fly on the wall (disambiguation) but none of them have articles yet. Jafeluv (talk) 10:54, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Comment Jafeluv's right! All the other songs listed at the disambiguation page doesn't have their own articles because they're not notable enough to have their own pages, thus they're redirected to their respective albums instead. Since Miley Cyrus' song with the same name is a notable charting single, it's the only song (for now) that takes the Fly on The Wall title, and thus, it deserves to be moved to the Fly on the Wall (song) page. I would also request administrators to review this page move request and give out their comments and decide whether it deserves to be moved or not. Signed, kotakkasut 05:54, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- Support. In general, if (a) there is no other song with this name, (b) no other song with that name that is sufficiently notable to be in WP, or (c) among all the songs so named in WP, this one is primary, then this should be at ''Song-name'' (song). Per (a), the current name is unnecessary precision. --Born2cycle (talk) 07:00, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- Support there are lots of other songs named Fly on the Wall, but none with articles. If any of them are created into articles, then this should be moved back to Miley Cyrus song. In the near future, move to (song). Jolly Ω Janner 13:17, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Copy-editing
[edit]- One of the first sentences, "Replaced from "Full Circle" due to unknown reasons", does not make sense. I'm not sure what this sentence is trying to say, or I would fix it myself. Will someone let me know? Liquidluck (talk) 23:04, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- Well I put that because "Full Circle" was originally the second single from Breakout. This is my source, an organization from parents named Common Sense Media. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 23:11, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- Originally I was just concerned about the wording being confusing, but I checked out the source, and it doesn't look like a reliable one. I'd say take it out unless there are other sources- it is more likely commonsense was mistaken. Liquidluck (talk) 23:14, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- Yea, your probably right. I ran a Google search and there was nothings covering it. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 23:45, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Song sampled removed
[edit]Why was the link to the B52's song removed? It's the song sampled in Fly On The Wall and should be at least stated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.241.28.194 (talk) 16:48, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- It was removed because YouTube is not a reliable source. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 22:26, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

This article is in decent shape, but it needs more work before it becomes a Good Article.
- Is it well written?
- A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
In the Critical reception section, "...and provided hints of Cyrus's future musical direction" ---> "...and provided hints of Cyrus' future musical direction". Same section, this ---> "...Sal Cinquemani of the online Slant Magazine", doesn't quite make sense. In the Chart performance section, "...the next week" replace "next" with "following", has better wording. Same section, "...the song ascended to number sixteen and became Cyrus's second best charting single in the United Kingdom" ---> "...the song ascended to number sixteen and became Cyrus' second best charting single in the United Kingdom." In the Live performances section, "The set, with some songs by Cyrus's father" ---> "The set, with some songs by Cyrus' father". Same section, there's too much repetition of "Cyrus", maybe have a consistency. Same section, "Fly on the Wall" is one of the songs on the set list of Cyrus's first international concert tour" ---> "Fly on the Wall" is one of the songs on the set list of Cyrus' first international concert tour".- Done. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 22:29, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

In the Critical reception section, the Heather Phares' quote about the song being a "G-rated version of Britney Spears' "Toxic", is the quote together with the addition of "Toxic"? If so, it needs to be ---> "Heather Phares of Allmusic said the song was a "G-rated version of Britney Spears' 'Toxic'". In the Chart performance section, "...the week ending March 18 at number fifty seven", "fifty seven" ---> "fifty-seven". In the Live performances section, please link "See You Again", "Breakout", "7 Things", and "The Climb" once.- Linked plaid with its corresponding page, corrected the quote and Austria position, and linked all songs once in the Live performances section. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 22:29, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
