Gazelles are mentioned periodically in paleontological literature regarding Pleistocene Japan, however the scientific name (Gazella praegaudryi) is not the Japanese Gazelle- it is named as the earlist known gazelle, originating in Africa, during the Miocene[1][2] Since the names do not match, compounded by the fact there are neither any sources or species listed as Japanese Gazelles, we must either change this article to a known species, or delete it. I'm from Japan and I've never heard of gazelle fossils from Japan (I've also searched in Japanese in case). And Gazella praegaudryi seems to be African species rather than Asian.OHSRW (talk) 11:30, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
