Diet
The final sentence of the section stating they are thought not to drink water appears to be incorrect, as I have a groundhog drinking from my bird-bath every morning. Mrsuperboot (talk) 01:13, 8 June 2022 (UTC)

Groundhog diet
Article states groundhogs not known to drink water, as they may get it from moisture in plants/vegetables. Our neighborhood groundhog does drink from the outdoor cats water bowl, as it eats from the cats bowl of Iams dry cat food. The groundhog has a badly deformed left rear leg, but seems to move quite well. Lives in a borrow under my neighbors side porch. We live on a very busy street in east Dayton, Ohio, but the groundhog moves around between our two yards with cats standing around, but takes off if humans appear to close, but doesn’t run off as I watch from my window him/her eat and drink on my porch. 2603:6011:C721:6300:15F4:F307:F22F:18D1 (talk) 18:25, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
