- This is indeed a stub, providing some interesting snippets of information but not adding up to a satisfying whole. Needs more info about some of the differences between the novel and film. Contemporary viewers will be misled into thinking there actually was a George Harvey Bone because of the opening credit notice that "This is the story of George Harvey Bone.." reminiscent of the contemporary misleading notice "based on a true story" or "inspired by a true story."

- The section ends with the phrase which I've rendered as "and pianist David Buechner [[1]]." Not sure if this is the right way to do this so I've left the article alone and ask the others to please check this.
