External links
I removed two external Web links that were provided to this article – one for Roughstock and another for RadioWave. This article is about the Billboard magazine chart and only that chart, not about competing charts. In its place went a link to the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Instead, I suggest creating separate articles for the RadioWave and Roughstock charts (if someone hasn't already and feels they justify articles), and then one separate disambig page for all the country charts, radio programs, etc. [[Briguy52748 13:10, 20 July 2006 (UTC)]]
Downloads not counted?
Are you sure that downloads aren't counted towards the Country charts? I can think of several download-only singles that have charted: Little Big Town's "Go Tell It on the Mountain"; Tim McGraw's "Things Change"; a couple Josh Gracin christmas songs from 2005... - Downloads count towards the Hot 100, but as far as I know, Hot Country Songs is airplay-only. - eo 18:13, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, that makes sense. I was misunderstanding. Ten Pound Hammer • (((Broken clamshells • Otter chirps))) 18:49, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
List of Number-one Country hits

Country Chart methodology changed
Should probably be added to the article, as several charts were revamped for the issue dated October 20, 2012: [1] - eo (talk) 16:24, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
Confusion and contradictions
As far as I can see, from 1990 until 2012, Billboard only had one country singles/songs chart, which was based on airplay alone. Our article on Country Airplay regards that period as part of the history of that chart and indicates that Country Airplay was created in 1990, however this article seems to regard the 1990-2012 period as part of the history of Hot Country Songs and says that Country Airplay began in 2012. Both can't be right...... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 10:20, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
Hot Country Songs Chart Achievements > Songs with most weeks at number one
Most of the songs listed pre-date the creation of the Hot Country Songs chart in 1958........ -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 13:25, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
Disc Jockey Charts 8/11/1956
Greetings from Hamburg. I've got a little trouble with the recreation of the Top 15 sparked by the incorrect print (p. 61). The missing tops are 9, 10, 13, 14 and 15. THX --Koyaanis (talk) 10:06, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
