For a balanced review of the topic I suggest "Electrocardiogram Screening for Disorders That Cause Sudden Cardiac Death in Asymptomatic Children: A Meta-analysis" which shows benefits of ECG and Echo screening but acknowledges that positive predictive value and false-positive rates vary widely for these tests.
