Beauty the Hippo
Was the Hippo called quote unquote Kransky? I ask this because Kransky (sic) is the Russian word for Red. As in RED square. RED square is probably called Krasny because Krasny also means BEAUTIFUL and there is no explanation as to why the maidan would be called red (as far as I know). Hence the RED ARMY could also mean the Legion Beautiful! So it is possible that the Reds christened the hippo "Red". Hence, I think we should clarify the actual Russian name that Hippo had.
