Proposal into table form
I will wish to ask if anyone can convert this to a neatly organized table form and written in a more organized format, such as in the table below?

Let me know what do you think and if this is better organized. Thanks. Sculture65 (talk) 03:03, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
- I notice you introduced a number of inaccuracies in some edits or the flow of content added by you was not smooth or logical. Too many to mention here. I tried to correct a few. Please be more careful.
- in addition, please respect content introduced by others by not removing all of it and replacing with your own content which was not better but has room for improvement.
- I dont think i can support your proposed table. Firstly it is too tedious ans onerous. Secondly, i rather collaborate with editors who are more respectful of others. Globallycz (talk) 06:09, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- Please note I am here due to a ping on my talkpage and on WikiProject Singapore's talkpage.
- @Sculture65 : There will be a need to summarise the current summary even more. The colour coding might be difficult for other editors helping to update/maintain or takeover. Sometimes a culprit might be charged with both sexual assault and murder for a rape and kill case which will make colour coding hard and also categorisation of crime harder. I believe the table has only sort function so if I wanted to sort and see how many sexual assault cases, some of the cases will be sorted in a very weird manner (It might be sorted as Murder / Sexual Assault for a case and Sexual Assault for another case so all the sexual assault cases will be all over the table and defeating the sort function. Also a miscategorisation of Sexual Assault as rape will throw your idea off). I appreciate the thoughts but I think more brainstorming on how to sort the table is still needed.
- @Globallycz : I appreciate if you can be civil and just reply Sculture65 based on his question. Please be objective and comment on his proposed table structure, whether is it viable or what can be improved. I have no idea your initial sentences are over the editing disputes over the article or based on the sample table provided. If it is over editing dispute, please open a new section and have a proper discussion (Please do not do it over edit summaries). If your non-support of the table is based on editing disputes over the article, please withdraw your non-support as it is not about the table. Please note also on boomerang as you are bordering on incivility. ~ JASWE (talk) 05:09, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- My nonsupport is based on two main reasons as laid out in the last two sentences of my previous reply. The first part of opening response explained how the editor had been disrespectful of others edit. He deleted the edit of others completely without really improving the content. I would always try to preserve some of the inputs given by original editor unless it is factually inaccurate. Frankly, nobody replied him for over a month until you and me. Why do you think so? I was only being frank. I would have taken it as a non support when no one replies. I know where you are coming from but if we are not assertive in certain situation, some editors take it for granted. I will not respond further. I suggest you review some of his edits and derive an opinion of this editor yourself. Thus far, he has responded well to some of my edit which corrected some of his earlier edits. As for the table, my comments would not ruin fuether his chances. I believe your assessment of the table was that it may be too difficult for some editors to follow. As said before, no one has shown any support on his proposed table and I was just being frank. It needs major simplification for it to get any support. Globallycz (talk) 05:49, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Globallycz : Sculture65 asked for comments for his table and you chose to use it as a forum to discuss the editing disputes. You are being disrespectful right now. This has crossed over to incivility. Being assertive in the wrong forum will land you into trouble, regardless the forum is in Wikipedia or not.
- @Sculture65 : Ignore Globallycz's comment and as mentioned in WikiProject Singapore's talkpage, please raise a new section and discuss content dispute. ~ JASWE (talk) 06:33, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- I am sorry if you are unable to agree with me. For me, how collaborative an editor has shown to be has an influence on whether I support his or her proposed table. I know you disagreed and see it as me using the forum wrongly. I do not think it is right for anyone to tell others to ignore another's comment. Anyway, lets leave it as it is here. Globallycz (talk) 07:42, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Globallycz : You just shown that you are not able to be objective in your views and assessment of things and that if an editor sided with you and that you will support that editor. Your "how collaborative an editor" is easier to be understood as "how agreeable that editor is with you". This is not what Wikipedia is all about. So basically I had disagreed with you and based on your latest reply, you are not willing to work through this issue with me at all.
- I asked Sculture65 to ignore your comments on the table you disagreed based on an existing editing dispute with him. Such comments are not helpful, disrespectful and goes against what Wikipedia stands for (see the fourth pillar of Wikipedia). ~ JASWE (talk) 08:02, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- I cannot support the table partly because it is too tedious and onerous. I thought your initial comments on his table was also along the same thought. Please do not stretch your arguement. If i see that your edits are generally reasonable, i will most likely support your proposals and collaborate with you as I believe your proposals would most likely be reasonable too. Lets leave it.
