Made from red rice?
This website [1] states that the mold is grown on red rice. Is this correct? Badagnani 22:45, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think it is. If you see them in the supermarkets you can clearly see that it's grown on polish white rice. Sjschen 23:36, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
OK. But does this imply that it's not available in jars in powdered form? Is it in the shape of rice grains? If so, then the website I found is wrong, because it said it was available in powdered form. Or is it available in both forms? Badagnani 23:45, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- Grown on rice. It is the yeast that creates the red/purple color during fermentation. Sold as rice, as powdered rice, and as a dietary supplement (powdered rice in capsules). David notMD (talk) 02:34, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
