Bond's age
[edit]Sean Connery was 52 at the time of filming and his advanced age was addressed in the movie.
However his counterpart Roger Moore is three years older and went on to shoot another Bond movie. Maikel (talk) 22:15, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- Indeed. That was the irony, and even more ironic is Moore had planned to walk away from the role after 1981, feeling he was two old, and was persuaded back for two more films. But they ignored his age. 2604:3D09:1F74:1C00:9F4:9DBB:B186:722C (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 15:21, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
The link to Domino Petachi
[edit]Links to the Domino of the Thunderball movie. I saw NSNA last night for the first time, saw that Kim Basisnger was accurately listed in these credits on the Wikipedia page, but the DOMINO PETACHI link is incorrect. 2607:FCC8:B801:3F00:9DC8:D606:11ED:C795 (talk) 14:00, 6 April 2019 (UTC)Marco Budny
- Following the link, it's to the character that appears in the novel and both movies. DonQuixote (talk) 14:18, 6 April 2019 (UTC)
Plot needs editing
[edit]"Bond spars with Fatima and Largo" completely ignores Fatima taking him out to sea on her boat, having a rather long sex scene with him, then going snorkeling, and trying to kill him with radio controlled sharks! Someone really needs to reedit the Nassau section of the plot. Deliusfan (talk) 02:00, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
- Can anybody explain why the defusing of a single nuclear warhead in a remote ocean is supposed to have "saved the world"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:E2:370E:5896:2564:324D:D8C2:BE9A (talk) 12:15, 24 October 2021 (UTC)
Release head to head with Octopussy
[edit]I can't add this without a source, and I can't find one at the moment, but at one point both this film and Octopussy were apparently scheduled to hit theatres at around the same time, leading the media to promote a "battle of the Bonds" before it was decided to space the films out. Maybe someone can find a media source to back this up. I am thinking back 38 years on this but I think I might have read this in an issue of Variety at the time. 70.73.90.119 (talk) 16:51, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
- I remember seeing Never Say Never Again in the cinema with my parents and sister when it came out here in NL. I enjoyed it as much as any other Bond film back then. Good times 👌 2A02:A446:250B:1:84FF:676B:20F3:AF63 (talk) 22:14, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
Connery announced in March 1983?
[edit]There's a unsourced statement in the article that Connery's casting in Never Say Never Again wasn't announced until March 1983, well after production had begun on the film. I dispute this as I clearly remember there being media coverage, newspaper and media, about Connery's return at least a year before it came out, with 1983 being promoted as "battle of the Bonds." March 1983 was far too late to announce Connery. Unless there is a reputable source (newspaper article, for example) indicating otherwise, of course. 2604:3D09:1F74:1C00:9F4:9DBB:B186:722C (talk) 15:24, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
