The result of the move request was: Moved to Habsburg–Ottoman war of 1529–1533. consensus of the alternate proposed title. – robertsky (talk) 05:30, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- Ottoman–Habsburg War (1529–1533) → Ottoman–Habsburg War of 1529–1533
- Ottoman–Habsburg War (1540–1547) → Ottoman–Habsburg War of 1540–1547
- Ottoman–Habsburg War (1551–1562) → Ottoman–Habsburg War of 1551–1562
- Ottoman–Habsburg War (1565–1568) → Ottoman–Habsburg War of 1565–1568
– WP:NATURALDIS. Disambiguation is fundamentally necessary to the identification of these wars. They are described as distinct Ottoman–Habsburg wars within a series of wars, not periods of time within a single war (e.g., contrast with History of Canada (1960–1981) as mentioned at WP:NCDURATION). I suspect there are many other generically-named wars (and other subjects) that might benefit from similar treatment. I am also tempted to suggest lowercasing of "War", but that might be a distraction. — BarrelProof (talk) 19:04, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- Lowercase war per usage stats, even if it's a distraction. Neutral on which disambig style to use, since it's not uncommon to call separate things the same name and use parenthetic disambig. Dicklyon (talk) 00:44, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- Another issue is whether it should be "Habsburg–Ottoman" (i.e., alphabetical order), as at Habsburg–Ottoman War. —Srnec (talk) 01:12, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, let's do that. It's conventional on WP, and somewhat more common in sources to put Habsburg first. And let's fix that disambig page capitalization while we're at it. Dicklyon (talk) 03:04, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support Habsburg–Ottoman war of 1529–1533 for the reasons outlined above. Lewisguile (talk) 15:09, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
