Okina
Samoan language, which I gather produced the volcano's name, uses the ʻokina (ʻ), not an apostrophe ('). Per MOS:HAWAII the proper symbol should be used for Hawaiian toponyms, so I figure using it in Samoan toponyms would be an improvement too. I didn't move the article since it's a GAN and I don't know if it will break the templates. Daß Wölf 06:36, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
- Our article ʻOkina suggests that in Samoan one often represents it with an apostrophe. Incidentally, since this article is not yet under review you can probably simply edit it. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 07:28, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks, I wasn't aware that both are used in Samoan. Incidentally, pinging Quisqualis who reverted me. Daß Wölf 00:51, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

- ... that the submarine volcano Vailulu'u was named after a sacred rain and might become an island in the future? Vailulu'u Seamount was named in April 2000 by Samoanhigh school students; the name refers to the sacred sprinkling ofrain that reportedly always fell as a blessing before a gathering ofKing Tuimanu'a, the last king of the Samoan Nation and named Nafanua, in the summit crater ofVailulu’u seamount. Nafanua grew from the 1,000-m-deep craterfloor in<4 years and could reach the sea surface within decades

- Article was promoted to GA status within the last seven days, is obviously over the required prose size and has no copyvio concerns. Hook is interesting and attributed to reliable sources. QPQ provided, good to go. Kosack (talk) 15:17, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
