Criteria
There are hundreds (thousands?) of telephone companies in the US. I've noticed some rather obscure companies creeping on to this list. I should have probably given this more thought when starting this template, but I'd like to try to come up with some criteria to keep this template manageable. I suggest a minimum of 100,000 access lines for inclusion. This makes little change to the template, except for the exclusion of the recently-added Seaport Capital, and the swapping of Alaska Power and Telephone Company for Alaska Communications Systems, which was my earlier mistake. I've modified the template accordingly and have also changed it to use Template:Navigation

Hey, should Vonage be here?
Can VoIP providers be in the list as well? Feel free to remove Vonage from the template. FOPFan300 21:05, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
- Outside the scope of this template, which is for landline companies. That's why mobile companies aren't included, either. The navbox title should probably be changed to make that clearer. oknazevad (talk) 21:53, 28 October 2011 (UTC) (PS, new comments go on the bottom)
