Trenton Bourguet is an American football quarterback for the Arizona State Sun Devils.
Early life and high school
Bourguet was born in Tucson, Arizona and attended high school at Marana. In his high school career, Bourguet completed 443 of his 644 pass attempts for 7,612 yards and 86 touchdowns, to 23 interceptions. Bourguet would also rush for 894 yards and 13 touchdowns, while also hauling in 11 receptions for 114 yards and one touchdown. On defense, Bourguet would notch 19 tackles, three pass deflections, and three interceptions.[1] Bourguet would decide to walk on to play college football at Arizona State University.[2][3]
College career
In the covid shortend 2020 season, Bourguet only played in one game where he completed one of his two passes for 24 yards.[4] In the 2021 season, Bourguet would go seven for ten on his passing attempts for 91 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for seven yards.[5] In week six of the 2022 season, Bourguet would come into the game after starting quarterback Emory Jones went down with an injury. In the game Bourguet would complete 15 of his 21 pass attempts for 182 yards and three touchdowns with one interception, as he helped the Sun Devils upset #21 Washington.[6] For his performance on the week he was named the Manning quarterback of the week.[7] In the following week, Bourguet would get his first career start versus Colorado.[8] In the game, Bourguet would complete 32 of his 43 passes for 435 yards and three touchdowns, with one interception, as he helped Arizona State beat Colorado.[9] Bourguet finished the 2022 season starting in five games, where he completed 145 of his 203 passes for 1,490 yards and 11 touchdowns with five interceptions.[10][11] Bourguet would get his first start of the 2023 season in week three against Fresno State, but Bourguet left the game in the first quarter with an injury.[12]
Personal life
Bourguet is the brother of BYU quarterback’s Treyson Bourguet.[13] & Emeron Bourguet
