Followup RFC to WP:RFC/AAT now in community feedback phase
Hello. As a participant in Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion article titles, you may wish to register an opinion on its followup RFC, Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion advocacy movement coverage, which is now in its community feedback phase. Please note that WP:RFC/AAMC is not simply a repeat of WP:RFC/AAT, and is attempting to achieve better results by asking a more narrowly-focused, policy-based question of the community. Assumptions based on the previous RFC should be discarded before participation, particularly the assumption that Wikipedia has or inherently needs to have articles covering generalized perspective on each side of abortion advocacy, and that what we are trying to do is come up with labels for that. Thanks! —chaos5023 20:28, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
I know wikipedia is not a chatline but...
I'm trying to look up flame war follies and I can't find a good site for it anymore, do you know of any mirrors that are left besides archive.org? Klichka (talk) 19:54, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
Oh you are not that IronDuke? I had done a ton of research into flame war follies related to Derek Smart and it all links to you pretty much. I asked a while back when it was relevant because he appeared on steam and was going nuts in the forums there. Klichka (talk) 19:38, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, IronDuke. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

hey
Idk how I happened across this page, but I hope you're well. Just wanted to say hi. nableezy - 17:48, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hey man! Great to hear from you! Believe it or not, I think about you from time to time. You still editing regularly? IronDuke 14:25, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
- He's alive! I stopped for a while, picked back up, never quite at the same clip as the olden days, but still pretty regularly. Tried to focus on bigger articles and not get bogged down on the who shot who here first last week things, but that ebbs and flows with how many times I say "youve got to be fucking kidding me" when I see the watchlist. Though if I had stopped seeing NoCal so often Id probably have hung it up a while ago. The last twelve years since 2020 have definitely been an upswing in editing time, but what was I gonna do, get a Peloton? I really do hope youre well, and I am really glad to see you check in here at least once a month to fend off the throngs of well-wishers. nableezy - 15:01, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
- Lol, you are all the well-wisher I need, habibi. Wish I had more time to edit, but am simultaneously glad I don't. 23:22, 21 September 2022 (UTC) IronDuke 23:22, 21 September 2022 (UTC)

- IronDuke is on my watchlist, it's like it's 2009 again. nableezy - 18:46, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- It doesn't count as 2009 unless you autorevert the edit! IronDuke IronDuke (talk) 21:48, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Nah, never with you, I always read your diffs before undoing them. nableezy - 21:51, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Why isn't there yet a heart emoji comment function in this place? Like, what year even is it? IronDuke IronDuke (talk) 23:12, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

Please take a moment to update your signature
Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.
The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error, specifically formatting tags that are obsolete and in the wrong order.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.
- Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
- Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Change the signature as shown below, or make other edits to make the signature appear how you want it to appear.
- Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.
Current signature:
<font color="green">[[User:IronDuke|IronDuke]]</font>
Fixed signature:
[[User:IronDuke|<span style="color:green;">IronDuke</span>]]
More information is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 19:18, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, please update your signature, I just ran across it this afternoon with your comments on User talk:Nableezy. Thank you! Zinnober9 (talk) 21:19, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
