My name is Robbie Bruens. I think Wikipedia generally tilts too much in favor of the great man theory of history and culture, especially in how it defines and polices notability. I'm trying to change that.
For several years, I've been trying to improve Wikipedia's coverage of outsider artists, as well as obscure, forgotten, neglected, abandoned, forsaken, unrecognized, unacknowledged, overshadowed, out-of-fashion authors, playwrights, filmmakers, and artists more generally. I'm also working on adding pages for notable yet mostly unknown bands, musical acts, and comedians. I try to put most my energy into writing articles for people of color, women, and members of other marginalized and underrepresented groups.
