Image deletion
Hi, I removed Image:Black Head County Clare.jpg for you from en - in future if it's just that a new version's been uploaded on Commons, you can tag it with the tag {{nowcommons}} Orderinchaos 11:20, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Please point in the speedy deletion criteria for images the exact # what shall be used for the deletion here (aka. orphaned). feydey 12:06, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- CSD Images: No.5: "Images and other media that are not under a free license or in the public domain... [can be speedily deleted]" - I think the image in question is clearly licensed with a free license. Please read the CSD criteria carefully before applying. Thanks, feydey 13:00, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- In the future I suggest using {{orphan image}} on images like this. feydey 13:03, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
BOC's TOC Clutter
Do not undo the '...TOC clutter...' as you put it; if you have a problem then file a complaint on talk:MOS.100110100 18:44, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- Your edit summary that took my sections a while ago said 'undoing toc clutter'. How is it clutter? As far as I know, that is an esthetic, and therefore, arbitrary and subjective decision and infinitaly unagreeable. I do not how making them headings could EVER possibly be cluttering the TOC. Do you even know that a TOC is for? How could it not HELP the article?100110100 06:28, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well no, MOS does not list rules for asthetic reasons. I was the one who sectioned ==External links==;; you were the one who took them out. I'm teaching you how to layout.100110100 17:15, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Hello Shoejar, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:StriderBuster.png) was found at the following location: User:Shoejar/sandbox. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 20:58, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Taj El-Din Hilaly and 'pov' tag
If you feel there is pov problem to such an extent that it requires a 'pov' tag, then it is standard practise to explain on the talk page what that problem is. How do people know what your concern is? Do you mean pro-Hilaly bias, or anti? Why not explain - or expect to have the tag removed. kind regards. Merbabu 09:33, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Bocf2.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Bocf2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 12:17, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use disputed for Image:Guardians.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Guardians.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:28, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Hl2ep2demo1.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Hl2ep2demo1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:19, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

As for your changes - if you apparently don't know much about tanks, don't change "most of later foreign tankettes were its developments or were inspired by Mark VI" to "Many foreign tankette models developed later were said to be inspired by the Mark VI" - because MOST of later tankettes WERE its development (like Soviet T-27, Czech vz.33) or WERE clearly influenced by Carden-Loyd (like Polish TK/TKS, and, to lesser extent, Italian ones). I'll add refs when I have more time - most will be The Vickers Tanks book. Pibwl ←« 22:05, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

I have conducted a reassessment of the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process. I have found some concerns which you can see at Talk:Alec Empire/GA1. I have placed the article on hold whilst these are fixed. Thanks. Jezhotwells (talk) 21:58, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Peel Session (Autechre EP) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NALBUM
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DonaldD23 talk to me 02:01, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
