Hi Zambonia! I wanted to welcome you to Wikipedia and the IMA's E-Volunteer program. I helped develop the guides you have used through WikiProject:Public art, so if you have any questions, do let me know. I nominated your first article, Eden II, for a Did You Know, meaning that it may make it to the Main Page in another few days. You'll get an alert if it does. You may want to check the copyright status of the photo of the artwork, because the artwork itself is likely copyrighted, making it necessary to upload the image as Fair Use in Wikipedia. Be sure to read the Image Guide carefully in order to upload the images correctly and not have them deleted. You're otherwise rockin' and rollin'! Thanks for your involvement! LoriLee (talk) 12:38, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Zambonia. I also want to say, nice work writing about Eden II! It's really exciting to see someone working on this important installation. As I have some contact with the artist of that piece and Type A's, it would be fun to let them know once you're doing working on it.
- I have to say that your image may be problematic in that according to US copyright laws, that image is likely in violation of copyright. It should get fixed along the way, though.
- I'd be most interested to know how and why you became interested in working as an e-volunteer.
- Thank you for your work! Best, --RichardMcCoy (talk) 14:43, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
Possibly unfree File:Eden II.jpg
A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Eden II.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Crisco 1492 (talk) 07:01, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- To go along with this note, I'll provide my untimely reply to your question about Flickr. I'm sorry, you caught me while I was out of the country. But to answer your question, no, there is no better way to upload non-free content, based on our recommendations, than to upload it to Flickr and have an outside source for it. They're extremely picky about fair use images. At this point, the image should be deleted and removed from the article to avoid further issues. But that does not mean that the rest of your article is not fabulous! Thanks again for your efforts and let us know if you have any other questions as you move forward. Happy to help. I promise to be more quick in my replies now that I'm permanently back state-side.
- Additionally, you may have noticed a geonotice at the top of your Wikipedia page. The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is hosting a Backstage Pass & Edit-a-Thon next Saturday, August 20th, and it'd be great to have you attend, if you'd like. You can sign up and see details on the event page. Just let me know! LoriLee (talk) 22:02, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
- Having museums share batches of no-known-copyright images is a long and time sensitive process, but we're working on it. Even still, none of the contemporary works would be copyright free, including Team Building (Align.) The only way is to upload them individually as fair use, based on our guidelines. LoriLee (talk) 11:21, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
DYK for Eden II
On 23 August 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Eden II, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Eden II, an art installation within the Indianapolis Museum of Art's 100 Acres, features a mock refugee ship to highlight the problem of climate change? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template talk:Did you know/Eden II.You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Congrats!
Hey Zambonia,
Congrats on all of your work in Wikipedia! It's really cool to see all of your work come to fruition. Did you notice that the article you started about Eden II wound up on the main page of Wikipedia? While it was there it received about 1700 views.
I'm glad to see you're now on to the article about Team Building (Align). It seems like you've gotten the image things worked out ... it can be complicated to get up to speed on all of the copyright issues. In short, if the artwork was made after about 1923, then it's still under copyright. If it's made before that then it's considered in the public domain.
Anyway, I'm most interested in what you think of e-volunteering and how you think we might grow the program. Kind regards,--RichardMcCoy (talk) 11:44, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
Funky Bones
Hi, I checked your page and didn't notice that you were working on that one ... how about I put my version and then you can improve it with your info? I'd really like to work collaboratively on this, and the other articles in 100 Acres. I've been working as an intern at the IMA this summer and have some really good info to add. Okay? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Npeterswiki (talk • contribs) 21:29, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- Hey, Zambonia, I see you've met Npeterswiki. She's been working with me in the conservation department; If you live in Indy, it'd be great to meet you and show you around the conservation department. Here's hoping that now with two of you working on the 100 Acres articles they can all be really great. Best, --RichardMcCoy (talk) 21:43, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks!
Hi Zambonia, thanks so much for adding in those links to Funky Bones, much appreciated! I've been a bit busy lately, and haven't had much time to dedicate to the 100 Acres docs. Also, you were right about the hard core editors. My article on Indianapolis Island got slammed with tags, but I'll keep trying to make it better. Thanks again! A kitten for you!
This kitty is slightly wilder than The Holy Family with the Dragonfly which is a very nice article, and a lovely picture which I had never seen before, thank you for sharing it with the world.

Another volunteer
Hey Zambonia,
I just wanted to let you know User:DebraHardy has started working on the list. She's already made two articles! --RichardMcCoy (talk) 14:08, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
New Volunteer
Hello! Richard directed me to you as a veteran IMA e-volunteer so I wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to museums and Wikipedia, so I welcome all advice and guidance. I've already started my first draft for a collection object article in my sandbox, and if you had a free moment to offer suggestions I would love to hear your thoughts. I look forward to working with you! --AngelKelley (talk) 00:36, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
We mask
Zambonia, I was wondering if the IMA Handbook that you said you have on loan has any additional information about the Face mask (We people), accession #1989.373. I just finished the initial creation of the page and would love to beef it up some if there is any additional information available. Thanks,-AngelKelley (talk) 17:10, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
- Sadly, only about half of the artworks are in that book, largely because it is so old. That particular mask wasn't even acquired until the year after it was published. You'll have better luck with the Europeans and Americans, though the Asian coverage isn't awful. Zambonia (talk) 17:10, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
- That's okay, thanks for checking! --AngelKelley (talk) 22:41, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
Ritual wine server (guang)
Hi Zambonia, I hate to keep bugging you asking you to check your handbook, but does your book by chance have additional information for the Ritual wine server (guang), accession #60.43? The IMA page description is limited so I'm hoping they added more detail in one of their publications. Thanks. -AngelKelley (talk) 16:53, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
- Well, that was admittedly a little less helpful than I was hoping, hehe. You're right that it sounds a bit better than the website, but there is not much extra detail. It's sort of wierd that they wouldn't at least explain which animals the overall shape are meant to depict (i.e. is the lid a dragon?). Oh well, thanks for checking! Maybe I'll have better luck with whatever I pick next time :) --AngelKelley (talk) 21:18, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Ways to improve Senufo female ancestor figure
Hi, I'm 1bandsaw. Zambonia, thanks for creating Senufo female ancestor figure!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. It is unclear to me if each piece in the museum's collection needs its own wikipedia page. It seems like the only pages that link to this page are the other items in the collection.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. 1bandsaw (talk) 00:18, 28 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve.
