This WikiProject was formed to foster better articles on the countries of the Micronesia with a spirit of cooperation.

The goals of this project are to:

• create, improve, and maintain articles relating to the countries of the Micronesia and the surrounding area, their history, people, geography, and culture. Included are the independent nations of Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, and Palau, and the territories of Guam, Johnston Atoll, Northern Mariana Islands, and Wake Island.

The scope of this project is all articles which fall in the Category:Micronesia. We acknowledge up front that there may be other WikiProjects, both now and in the future, which deal directly with individual nations or areas within the above. We are grateful for their efforts, and will concentrate our own on those areas which are not covered by a currently existing project.

• Create, expand, and maintain articles relevant to Micronesia.
• Add all articles within the scope of this project to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Micronesia/Articles list.
• Check these articles for improvements, vandalism, and other activity with the recent changes function.
