Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

ATME is a Bahrain-based digital assets exchange regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB). The company focuses on the tokenization and trading of real world assets (RWAs) within Bahrain’s regulatory framework.[1][2][3]
History
ATME’s public launch took place on 3rd October 2024, at the FinTech Forward event hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board, with the local media reporting the platform’s focus on facilitating tokenized instruments under the CBB’s oversight.[1][2]
In March 2025, the exchange announced its first issuance of tokenized real-world assets: gold-backed tokens for accredited investors – an initiative covered by industry press and regional media.[4][5]
In October 2025, ATME said it had introduced a regulated model for brokers and asset managers to issue and trade tokenized investment products on its platform. The development and first listings were reported by local business media.[6]
Regulatory Context
ATME operates under Bahrain's crypto-assets regulatory framework. In March 2023, the CBB expanded its Crypto‑assets Module to include ''Digital Token Offerings'', which regulates digital token offerings that exhibit characteristics of securities, setting out requirements for investor protection and supervision of tokenized instruments in Bahrain.[7]
Operations
ATME is a CBB‑regulated platform that facilitates the tokenization of assets such as commodities, private debt and equity, sukuk, and other financial instruments. It incorporates Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols, providing access to the platform only to authorized participants.[2]
Partnerships
In March 2025, ATME partnered with Reboot Coding Institute to offer internship and hiring pathways to students enrolled at Reboot. [8]
In October 2025, the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ATME to explore tokenization use‑cases, the announcement was made on the bank’s website. [9]
ATME also signed an MoU with the Shariyah Review Bureau (SRB). According to the announcement, the agreement aims to examine tokenization models that align with Islamic financial principles and support portfolio diversification and capital formation.[10]
In a separate development, ATME announced an MoU with FLOOSS Holding Company to collaborate on issuing digital tokens backed or collateralized by financing portfolios managed by FLOOSS.[11]
