Carolina Aura (born April 28, 1997), known professionally as Luke Mallicoat is an American singer, producer and also actor. Born in a single parent household, he makes a variety of music regarding his life and other issues affecting his local city of High Point, North Carolina.
Early life and education
Luke Mallicoat was born on April 28, 1997 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point, North Carolina to Christina Mallicoat. His father was known but not disclosed. His family often moved around during the first five years of his life as there was a house fire that affected his mother's house and there was a delay in the repair. He was enrolled into the High Point public education system where he did not excel due to repeated bullying and other issues in the education system.
His mother decided that it was best to homeschool him due to his heavy speech impediment and other issues that set the young Mallicoat back. He excelled in the homeschooling program due to the freedom of it along with working from a safer environment that did not have bullying. He dropped out of school sometime later on in his teenage years, as he was the secondary caregiver of his ailing grandmother who would later die from stroke-induced death.
He was a member of the High Point Police Department Explorer Post and served for 5 years. He also briefly served with the High Point Fire Department Explorer Post for about 3 months.
There were various odd jobs that intrigued him such as graphics design and writing, cleaning yards which allowed him to supplement his families low income. While he was doing all of this, he was learning Russian and German along with other languages to pursue his passion of becoming a polyglot.
Career
He began his career with the purchase of his first guitar which was a cheaply made acoustic guitar and he was able to manipulate it well, seeing that it was something he enjoyed and that he could easily play music well. There was also interest in Soundtrap which he used to make beats and edit his voice. His first official release came in September 2023 with the release of his single "June 23rd" which is a instrumental song based on his witnessing of his mom's murder.
He announced recently in October 2023 that he will be making his first album (Crystal Point) with an expected 2025 release date.
Personal life
Mallicoat is also single, not having married or dated anyone.
He is known to suffer from non-epileptic seizures along with PTSD which he got from witnessing his mom's murder during an attempted robbery[1]. He also has severe anxiety, depression.
