Comment: You’ve made a good start to this article, but unfortunately as yet it lacks sufficient sources which prove notability. It requires 2-3 sources which are reliable, independent, secondary sources, which talk at length about the topic of the article. Unfortunately the sources you have so far aren’t quite there. Please try to find some sources which talk about the temple in depth, but which are not published by any group with ties to the temple. Good luck 👍 Absurdum4242 (talk) 13:42, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Sohagara Temple is an ancient Hindu temple situated at Sohagara village at Uttar Pradesh and Bihar border. The temple is dedicated to Shiva. There is no clear evidance of year in which temple was constructed. Height of shiva lingam is 8 feet from the ground and 2 feet in diameter. In 1842 British officials tried to find out the depth of Shiva lingam but failed to do so. According to the legend, demon Banasur constructed the temple. Legend related to this temple is mentioned in Bhagavat Mahapuran.[1][2][3][4][5]
