COI disclosure
I am a colleague of the subject at Yale University. I created this article because the subject meets general notability guidelines through significant coverage in independent sources and recognition via major awards (Packard, Sloan, Moore Foundation). I have aimed for a neutral, well-sourced article. Feedback and improvements welcome. ChiaraMingarelli (talk) 01:13, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
Objection to proposed deletion
Object. The rationale given does not hold up against the subject's credentials or the article's sourcing.
WP:NPROF is met under Criteria 1 and 2:
- David and Lucile Packard Fellowship (2014): ~20 awarded annually across all of science and engineering. Packard Fellows are routinely found to be notable on Wikipedia.
- Sloan Research Fellowship (2014): Highly selective national award; Sloan Fellows are routinely considered notable.
- Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Experimental Physics Investigator (2024): $1.25M award from a major foundation.
- NSF CAREER Award (2014)
- Senior-authored publications in Nature, Science, Cell, and PNAS.
WP:TOOSOON does not apply. The subject has a publication record dating to 2003 and has held faculty positions since 2012. This is not a premature biography.
"Badly written" is not a deletion rationale. The article contains 20+ references including independent reliable sources. If writing quality is a concern, the appropriate remedy is editing, not deletion.
I am disclosing that the subject is a colleague of mine at Yale; I created this article following WP:COIEDIT guidelines. This does not affect the notability arguments above, which stand on their own merits. ChiaraMingarelli (talk) 19:56, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
