It is unclear in the entry whether the following sentences refer to Brown's collection of lectures (cited in the previous paragraph) or to Combe's own book. Please clarify.
The fourth impression of the twelfth edition appeared in 1843. At the time of his death 28,000 copies had been sold in this country besides numerous editions in the United States.[1]
