Agnosticism
One of the most important parts of Templeton's life is toward the end, when he began to realize that his friend and mentor, Billy Graham, he thought was a fraud. His writes at length about this in "A Farewell to God," but it seems to have been glossed over in this article. I corrected that problem, expounding upon the contribution of that book to our understand of Templeton, as well as its insights into evangelism in general. I'm sure some religious nut job will try to eradicate it once again, though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.172.104 (talk) 18:41, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Templeton Prize
Given Charles Templeton's noteworthy connection to religious deconversion, is the current dab hatnote sufficient -- "For other persons named Charles Templeton, see Charles Templeton (disambiguation)" -- or might it be worth mentioning John Templeton, founder of the Templeton Foundation which awards the Templeton Prize? I ask because I was quite confused when I ran across his A Farewell to God, so I came here to see how in the world this man was related to the Templeton prize, not realizing the different given names. 124.157.247.221 (talk) 04:33, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.
The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.
Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 16:58, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
Relationship with Billy Graham
Charles Templeton's relationship with Billy Graham should be made clearer particularly in the opening paragraphs. Even in the broader document this is not very clear. Also Charles Templeton's past as a Christian pastor is not clear. Just because he rejected it later in life doesn't mean it should be lost in clarity regarding his past 120.29.44.106 (talk) 09:53, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
