How about this; remove all pictures from every article so that nobody has to worry about whether an image can be used or not. --Nosehair2200 (talk) 20:30, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

Removal of CN Tags
I removed a number of CN tags because they were attached to portions of text added by the same editor. While that may be someone asking another editor to check their work, ″The {{Citation needed}} template is intended for use when there is a general question of the verifiability of a statement, or when an editor believes that a reference verifying the statement should be provided.″[1] In my opinion, the tags were Drive-by and not meant to actually improve the article directly. Items tagged were not contentious and had no libelous potential, especially since the subject of the article is no longer living. The overall banner for citations is enough. -- Srwalden (talk) 13:06, 7 November 2018 (UTC)

Birth date
There is a wide divergence in public sources concerning Akins' birth date, some saying 1926, as his son states, and some saying 1918. It is rare for an actor to inflate his age, so 1918 seems more likely as well as being more commonly cited. I have changed from 1926 to 1918, noting the divergence. If anyone has Ancestry.com access they are encouraged to use that source, which can be used as a tie-breaker in these kinds of situations. The publicly available 1940 census is unhelpful but he probably is listed in the military database. Figureofnine (talk • contribs) 12:06, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
I've switched the date of birth back to 1926, on the basis of Find A Grave indicating that his parents were born in 1903 and 1904. Note gravestone Makes 1926 far more likely than 1918 as a birth date for their son. In addition, I found Akins in the 1940 census, giving his age as 13 and his name as Aubrey, which was his middle name.[1] Figureofnine (talk • contribs) 14:47, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
- Why do people in TV shows that were on in the 50's and 60's look at least 10 years older than they apoarently are? Claude Atkins was in an episode of Bonanza that I just watched that aired in 1960. He looked to be 50. I'm 46 and I look 20 years younger than him. If he really was 34 years old in that episode, he's got to be the oldest looking 34 year old man in the history of 34 year old men. I looked like I was still in high school when I was 34(according to other people). I know people age at different rates, but this is rediculous. I respectfully disagree with his year of birth being 1926. 164.68.159.13 (talk) 19:23, 14 March 2023 (UTC)

- So then you're claiming his parents were 14 and 15 years old when he was born? Possible, but not very likely in 1918. If it was 1218, okay, but not very likely in 1918. His son says he was born in 1926, which also makes sense with his parents' ages, so I'll go with the son and common sense. 2600:1700:BC01:9B0:178:C976:B03E:642E (talk) 01:02, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

A friend provided me with a SSDI citation from Ancestry.com, further confirming the 1926 birth date. Figureofnine (talk • contribs) 18:14, 22 April 2019 (UTC) And to finish what I said five years ago, multiple records on Ancestry confirm his 1926 birth year: the 1950 Census, his Army enlistment record, and California records. Since reliable source (at least two obituaries) already say he was born in 1926, I think we can word the birth year stronger. Figureofnine (talk • contribs) 20:25, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
