Grossly NPOV. Notability? References? Verifiability?
This seems like a vanity piece written by the subject herself. I have half a mind to nominate it for deletion, though I will give editors a chance to try to redeem it. Jinxmchue 18:55, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- This is how it looks for sure. Whether written by her or someone else it is clearly simply based upon her own self-published material ... most probably just her website. I will propose deletion if someone is unwilling to redeem the site.PelleSmith 23:30, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Official websites
80.41.1.2, you just made the edit removing two out of three 'official' sites for Freya. You said: *"There is only one official website. I have removed the imposters" These websites removed being http://www.freya-aswynn.co.uk and http://aswynn.phpwebhosting.com . I checked out the registrant of them, and they are by the registered and owner [2] by the chap (Oswald the Runemaker (Bob [ Robert] Oswald)) his forum in Milton Keynes who ownes the Armanen runes website [3] - He is the same guy that lives at a particular address in Milton Keynes [4] whom is a friend of Karl Hans Welz looking at his sites. I know because on the Armanen site he gave his full address. I don't know him or anything about him, just go this info straight from the internet as you can see. Are these "imposter" sites? Why? I ask because user 80.41.81.122 on the 23:09, November 23, 2006 removed them previously stating: *"Updated the URL of Freya's official homepage. It was moved to this new server and new domain name on November 20th 2006. update by Bob Oswald registrant of the new domain name" Bob ownes all three sites so why are two imposters? - Is their an update on this? Robert C Prenic 18:36, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
Fair warning
I am going to submit this entry to WP:AFD unless it improves drastically. Anyone lurking about who has verifiable information, now is the time to source this article. - WeniWidiWiki 04:42, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- The only verifiable information I can find is one news article, about an event that isn't even mentioned in the current iteration of this article. She has a book in its fourth printing and her work seems to be well-respected by a significant group of people; I'd be in favor of keeping it if we could find some independent sources, but you can't write an article without information. - AdelaMae (t - c - wpn) 08:36, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- I don't see any improvement or any impetus to improve it. This page conveys a minuscule amount of information about a figure who's notability isn't even explained. WP:AFD seems appropriate at tis point.PelleSmith 01:18, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
well, was this ever AfD'd? WP:BIO does not seem to be met based on the references we currently have. --dab (𒁳) 14:30, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Bernard King?
Can we have some material concerning the history/spat with Bernard King, and the issue of the mysterious child porn that was put on Aswynn's computer? Since this as been documented by the UK media already, will there be any objections to include neutral material concerning this history? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.170.30.0 (talk) 13:15, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Birthday
I translated this article for the German Wikipedia, and I noticed that here Aswynn's birthday is given as Nov. 19th. In her own book Northern Mysteries and Magick she herself cites Nov. 9th as her birthday (p. XXV of the introduction). Does anyone know which source Nov. 19th comes from and which date is correct? de:Sonnenscheinbs (talk) 15:14, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
- Good question. Both The Encyclopedia of Modern Witchcraft and Neo-Paganism and her website only say "November 1949". I've changed to that in the article now. Apparently I'm the one who added 19, after initially leaving it out, but I can't remember why. I might have seen it in the article on Italian Wikipedia and assumed it was correct. Nice work with the German article. Ffranc (talk) 08:47, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
Original research
Recent edits seem to introduce a lot of material that appears to be original research. For instance, a recent edit [5] provides an image titled "Freya Aswynns hate speech on veterans - Aug 2023", and contains a screen shot of Aswynn's words, which is a primary source. There are no secondary sources provided to indicate that an external, reliable source has characterized the subject's words in this way, or drawn any conclusions that would support the additions, or even suggested that they are notable elements to include. I suggest we stop back and forth editing until discussion can provide consensus on what is properly sourced, and what should be added or removed from the article. signed, Willondon (talk) 18:36, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
