Long term vandalism (mosquito tactic?)
There was incredible deterioration of article content through vandal attacks over time.
It was mainly swarm of one-edit (or few-edit) IP accounts, which took over the article over the long period of three years. And they had torn the content of the article into the pieces in the end. What a shame! Kind of mosquito tactic. It is shame that it eventually succeeded to this degree.
The defense of article was simply worn down by constant attacks. This is alarming.
It looks like the culprits really tested under which conditions the community will be unable to track back, that what happened actually was baleful edit. They intermezzed the baleful edits with lot of back-and fro edits, where they even let other IPs to revert obvious vandalisms, so the antecedent deleterious edits of content happened to be lost in cover.
Lot of semi-automatic reverts prevented any casual patrolman from restoring it to fully original shape, because the history become very confused. At least I guess so, after going through the history click-by-click, step by step. It is unbeliavable. And horrible. It was originally quite nice start article.
See my analysis here: User:Reo On/Passive transport. I tried quite a lot to be careful. And listed all beneficial changes and archived all untracked serious deteriorating edits.
This article has actually about 1000 pageviews per day! [1], it would be nice, if it wouldf last in better shape then this: 19th October 2010. In the end, I restored it to the state in may 2008 (analysis.)

Movement down concentration gradient
What about including that passive transport is due to movement down concentration gradient? Such a simple principle, has been omitted I believe, little earthlings! 129.180.1.224 (talk) 13:06, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
Great point! It seems that this edit had been completed but I added to the physical properties behind this movement Cestfini001 (talk) 21:54, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

Could we improve this article by including which researcher(s) are responsible for documenting these types of transport within cells? I also found that the citations led to articles that are not accessible free of charge, could we improve that as well? Cestfini001 (talk) 03:12, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
I will be replacing the first sentence as it currently reads nearly identical to this source[2]. I also simplified the language and added open-source, peer reviewed citations for the introductory sentences and concepts. I also hyperlinked a few additional wikipedia articles while maintaining most of the originally hyperlinked pages. Please let me know if anyone has any questions or suggestions Cestfini001 (talk) 21:29, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
I added an example of diffusion and included additional citation Cestfini001 (talk) 21:51, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
