[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Late-night talk show, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Star One (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Hello. Your recent edit appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Retaliation/Romans
[edit]Why did you change the title of the article at Retaliation (2017 film)? Even though it released in the US under that title, the UK title is Romans and it is a UK film. We don't default to the US title. BOVINEBOY2008 17:59, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
I did that because that is the new title of the movie, even Katy Perry tweeted about it. It was re-released in the US under the new name. IMDb changed the page to Retaliation and so did Rotten Tomatoes. I don't understand your confusion.
- Did it change names in the UK? IMDb and RT will default titles to the US release title no matter what, but that is not the convention we typically follow on Wikipedia. BOVINEBOY2008 18:08, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
I am sure it did but it is up to you to check.
- No it's up to YOU to provide a reliable source that the name was changed in the UK; RT and IMDb are not reliable sources for names changes in the UK. And even IMDb indicates that it is titled Romans in the UK. Sundayclose (talk) 18:18, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
Ok the movie name could be renamed to Romans.

Addition of deputy premiers to the deputy minister article
[edit]Hi, just a heads up that I reverted your edits over at deputy minister (Canada). Deputy premiers and the deputy prime minister is not the same thing as a deputy minister. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:

June 2024
[edit]Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Northern Moonlight 18:57, 25 June 2024 (UTC)

Outgoing officials
[edit]Hello. We don't use outgoing in either the intro or infobox of lame-duck office holder, such as Blaine Higgs. We just wait until they've left office. GoodDay (talk) 01:17, 22 October 2024 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
