I see that you are new
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I could see that you are new here by what you did and how you reacted so try to be patient.
- When you are reverted, you should not revert back but discuss, per WP:BRD.
- No, we don't link common terms, per WP:OVERLINK
- You can be sure that any article which is posted as Today's featured article was checked by multiple editors.
I won't revert you but probably someone else will. Happy editing anyway. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 04:39, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
Solstice
[edit]Wikilinking to Solstice - an astronomy term - does not benefit the article because the use of "solstice" in the game has no connection to astronomy. David notMD (talk) 18:16, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

Your edits
[edit]Hi UnKnownrNone, I'm going to be blunt here: your edits are not so good. Some issues:
- Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is not a social network. Around half of your edits are to your own userpage, and you have been sending a lot of wikilove messages to others. You have also created multiple user pages that are not yours, such as User:WikiPhil012 and User:2409:40D0:201B:D7E8:14D3:4510:56CE:1AF0. Please don't. User pages should only be created by the users themselves. While I'm sure you were acting good faith, please prioritize contributing to the encyclopedia rather than 'socializing' with others.
- Most of your mainspace edits have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with our policies and do some smaller beginner-friendly tasks, such as the ones listed at the task center.
Sorry if that discouraged you from editing in any way; I'm sure you're a great editor and just need some guidance. Feel free to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions. '''[[User:CanonNi]]''' (talk • contribs) 14:03, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
- Actually the reason behind this is that I don't want to ruin Wikipedia and that's why whenever I have to do an edit I first do it on my user page and then on that specific article UnKnownrNone (talk) 02:15, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
- Your user page isn't really meant for testing; use your sandbox or the public sandbox for that. '''[[User:CanonNi]]''' (talk • contribs) 02:34, 10 July 2024 (UTC)

August music
[edit]story · music · places |
---|
Thank you for sending me a kitten! Today I have two "musicians" on the Main page, one is also the topic of my story, watch and listen, - I like today's especially because you see him at work, hear him talk about his work and the result of his work - rare! -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:41, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
... and a third, like 22 July but with interview and the music to be played today --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:48, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- amazing 😸✌ ! UnKnownrNone (talk) 10:58, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you! - On 13 August, Bach's cantata was 300 years old, and the image one. The cantata is an extraordinary piece, using the chorale's text and famous melody more than others in the cycle. It's nice to have not only a recent death, but also this "birthday" on the Main page. And a rainbow in my places. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:04, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- today's story is about a singer - regarding the "research" on the internet: it resulted in a pic taken by me, so can't show me, and the same birth date as of the person pictured would be un unlikely coincidence ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:45, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
- oh, that's nice! by the way I have also made many songs, do you want to listen my songs!?
- 🦁✌ UnKnownrNone (talk) 06:42, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- what's nice? - listen to Celestina Casapietra singing and speaking ;) - the speaking is in German but I think it is telling nontheless, for example that she liked to laugh --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:19, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- I was saying that your stories are always 'nice'! By the way, I know to speak and write in both Japanese & German!
- Bist du wirklich 15 Jahre alt!? UnKnownrNone (talk) 12:26, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- User:Gerda Arendt is 15 years old. I admire Japanese even more than German. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:56, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- He/She is asking about your age and not the age of @Gerda Arendt by the way what's the main reasons for cancelation of draft on WikiPedia‽ Duolingoiscat (talk) 15:29, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- I think I understood the age question better. - I have nothing to with deletions in draft space, so can't answer the other. What I observe is that drafts that have been dormant for 6 months get deleted (after a warning to the principal editor), but have no idea if that's the main cause. All deleted drafts can be revived if you can convince an admin. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:37, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Duolingoiscat
- When a draft or article is rejected on Wikipedia, it’s usually due to one or more of the following reasons:
- Notability: The topic may not meet Wikipedia’s notability guidelines. Articles should be about subjects that have received significant coverage in reliable sources. If the topic lacks sufficient independent references, it might be declined.
- Verifiability: Information in the draft must be verifiable through reliable sources. If citations are missing or inadequate, the draft may be declined.
- Neutrality: Wikipedia articles should be written from a neutral point of view. If the draft appears biased or promotional, it might be rejected.
- Copyright violations: Content copied from other sources without proper attribution can lead to rejection.
- Formatting and style: Poor formatting, lack of proper headings, or unclear writing can result in rejection.
- Incomplete content: If the draft lacks essential sections (e.g., introduction, body, references), it may be declined.
- Remember, revisions and improvements are encouraged! Feel free to address the feedback and resubmit your draft. 🌟

- @Gerda Arendt Do you know how to speak and write in Japanese UnKnownrNone (talk) 06:07, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Not at all, thus my admiration. I never managed to learn a language in a different character set, the Greek symbols in science were all I was able. - Thank you for a good explanation! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:13, 19 August 2024 (UTC)

Your user page
[edit]I've noticed that you have four "stars" linking to articles at the top of your userpage. Usually, linking to articles in this way implies those articles are a) WP:FAs and b) raised to that status by the user in question. Since only one of them is an FA and was nominated by a different user, many other editors may find these links confusing, if not deceptive. You also link to Proxima Centauri b with a start-class icon, which is confusing because a) that article is a GA and b) you did not start the article. I don't think you're being deliberately deceptive, but this could be confusing, so I'd advise you to change your userpage. See User:Sj's userpage for an example of how these icons are used.
