Currently ineligible. I should note that while he is currently on ITN, it is not as a bold link, so the article was technically eligible to be nominated. Actually meeting the DYK requirements is another story.

I do not have permition to edit Javier Milei article, so ask you for adding this fact and its sources:
Javier Milei is first libertarian president in world history.
I also created a corresponding topic discussion in Javier Milei talking page: Talk:Javier_Milei#The_first_libertarian_president_in_world_history.
5x expanded by LALKOVED (talk). Self-nominated at 21:38, 25 November 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Javier Milei; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.
- The article has not been expanded fivefold on that date, by the nominator or anybody else. The nominator has not even edited the article at all. And with its current size, I would say that a fivefold expansion is plainly impossible to achieve. The only way for this article to make it to DYK would be to be promoted as a good article. The article currently states that 'He had written more than 50 academic papers by 2016' (First paragraph in section 'economic career'.) However, he appears in Scopus (accessed June 14, 2024), as a coauthor of only one article, published in 1998, cited below.
The evidence cited for his 'more than 50 articles' is a short World Economic Forum bio (ref. 16) that is not itself supported by any further information.
Please change the phrase
'He had written more than 50 academic papers by 2016'
to read
'It has been publicly claimed that he has written more than 50 academic papers (ref16). However, according to the Scopus database, he appears only as a coauthor on a single academic paper, about the Argentinian telephone industry, published in 1998 (cite1998article).'
La disputabilidad en la industria telefonica Argentina' Beker, V., Rozenwurcel, G., Cenzon, E., Galperin, C., Milei, J. Desarrollo Economico, 1998, 38(150), pp. 566–592
Thank you. Espanocanuck (talk) 23:44, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. There are two citations that make the 50 article claim. What you propose constitutes original research and needs to be backed by secondary sources. – macaddct1984 (talk | contribs) 14:56, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, I hadn't realized that rule - after reading up on it, I do agree that this is original research, by the Wikipedia definitions. Unfortunately I cannot find an appropriate source for this at present, so I guess it needs to wait for someone to investigate it and write an article.
- However, the original ref. 16, as well as the second reference that was added since I made the original posting (ref. 17), are both questionable by Wikipedia standards, as I understand them. The World Economic Forum bio is promotional material, and the Uruguayan news site (ref. 17) does not provide any indication of how it is known that he wrote 50 articles - it may well have come from the World Economic Forum bio.
- Given the questionability of refs. 16 and 17, I would amend my request to simply remove the phrase
- 'He had written more than 50 academic papers by 2016' along with references 16 and 17. Espanocanuck (talk) 01:46, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

Under Presidency (2023-present) > First acts, there is a line reading
"On 24 April 2024, there has been protests by students over the stopping of funds to universities by the Millei administration."
In which Milei's name is incorrectly spelled Millei and "has" has been used where "have" is more appropriate, this should be amended to:
"On 24 April 2024, there have been protests by students over the stopping of funds to universities by the Milei administration."

I request that the title "Leon de Argentina (Lion of Argentine)" be added to the article after his name. This title has been afforded to him by his people, and is only right that it should be included as it is for other historical figures. 2606:6A40:61:D537:8CCE:E6FF:FED7:CBD (talk) 06:11, 22 August 2024 (UTC)

Who funded his studies? As a person who became a university drop out due to lack of funds, I wonder who funded him while he was studying. His parents were not wealthy, did he get scholarships? 2001:8003:A070:7F00:142F:11E0:5D3A:7D1C (talk) 00:10, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
